Capital Campaign Brochure Balances History & Innovation
The Northside Childcare Development Center has an illustrious history with the founders who presented the evidence showing inequality in education that led to the Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court decision. This history had to be honored in their capital campaign while showing how the organization was continuing to devise new ways to support an impoverished community.
Using each spread as an opportunity to communicate a key point about the organization, we presented the story as the next phase in innovation. The brochure showcases testimonials that we elicited from the parents of children in the program, along with the impact that the organization was achieving, while showcasing the need for the new space. The organization now as the tool they need to appeal to donors in the public phase of the campaign.
Update: After raising $10 million in just six months, Northside is now working on the additional $5 million necessary to sustain its programs and services.
